I took this shot at Newport Fashion Island in Newport Beach. Newport Fashion Island is an outdoor mall that is home to some fashionable and exclusive stores. I took this shot because it looked interesting and I could never find the fish on some of Hong Kong Daily Photo’s find the fish contests.

This is the Laguna Niguel MetroLink station where commuters park their cars and catch a commuter train to work. Southern California is not really known for using public transportation like Paris but we are trying to catch up to the rest of the world. I think most of the people in Southern California have cars unlike some other big cities.

This is the view from Cliff Drive in Laguna Beach very close to Las Brisas. The fog was pretty thick but I managed to get a pretty clear shot. Can you see the guy on the rocks? There used to be a pier at this location until it was washed away by a storm in 1932. For more information on the History of Laguna Beach click here.

This is what the night drive looks like during the day. This road leads to Costco a large warehouse retailer in the United States. They have everything from batteries to Picasso and they have a pretty good wine section. Although; the Picasso that is for sale is being reported as a fake. more info They had the display at this Costco and also on sale were Miro, Rembrandt, Warhol and Dali. They also give free samples of some of their items and have a cheap food court. Hot Dogs and a Drink for $1!!!

This is the beach during the off season. It was so gloomy that this trash can and some birds were the only ones on the beach. This shot was taken at Salt Creek Beach in Dana Point. Also located in this area are The Ritz Carlton and Hotel Saint Regis. These are two of the most luxurious hotels in Orange County. The Hotel Saint Regis is known for some of the most beautiful views in Orange County.

After the movies and dinner last night these dishes were left on the table for about 30 minutes before a waiter picked them up. It was closing time so I guess they did not need the table. My wife and I saw “Inside Man” starring Denzel Washington and Clive Owen. The movie was great! It is a bank heist movie so if you like some action and intrigue go see this movie.

Most people know Laguna Beach for the MTV show “Laguna Beach” the real OC or the Pageant of the Masters. Laguna Beach also has many wilderness parks that attract many nature lovers from all over Orange County. Laguna Coast Wilderness park is located in Laguna Canyon on the way to downtown Laguna Beach.

As the weather gets warmer the people get to the beach! This is a lifeguard tower at Mountain Street in Laguna Beach which will start getting busy (saving lives) in about a week or two. There were some people on the beach today laying out but I didn’t get a shot.

This house is located in the high priced area of Laguna Beach. I thought it was out of place among the million dollar homes and high priced hotels. The house has a great view of the ocean and Pacific Coast Highway.
